I would actually try to make a complete deck of these things and print them out and try to actually play a game with the rules for MTG. If i successfully create a deck I will post the results.tank magic.jpg

haha I love it.  Please continue to make cards. I will put a link to this thread in the end of the TCG Tanks Contest Thread.

As someone who's actually made a set of MTG cards before, I'm totally with you on this....

would be cool to rework some of the Submitted TCG cards to make them "actually work" with the game mechanics :)

Edit: Super psyched about winning 750G on the TCG contest!

I can't post my happiness in that thread, as it's locked, so I'll do it here!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! :izmena::teethhappy::great:

So we would have:

Tanks = Creatures

Removable Equipment = Equipment

Consumables = Spells

Complex Equipment = Enchantments

Packages = Enchantments and/or Equipment and/or Spells

Maps/Map Areas = Lands (for example, the Plains of Malinovka as well as the Swamps of Malinovka, the Island in the middle of Komarin, etc)

Something simple like:

Tier 1 Tanks are usually 1/1 creatures

Tier 2 are usually 2/2 (or maybe smaller with a cool ability)

and so forth

I assume Soviet tanks will be mostly Red, German mostly Black, American mostly White, British mostly Green, French/Japanese as mostly Blue, etc...

Any other frequent MTG players wanna help out?

Some of the pre-submitted cards, that are already "workable" - that is, "actual" MTG cards. Or at least can be used with various modifications

Anybody that wants to take a shot at balancing a few of these, feel free.

I'll throw in. I have never played MTG, but I'll draw some original tank art.

It occurred to me this morning that we should build a base deck, like tier 4-6 in German and American. You know, iconic WWII tanks. Quality over quantity. Then we can test out historic battles.

And maybe you thought of this, but instead of straight 6/6, perhaps a TD should have poor health but heavy attack. Same idea for other classes. A lot of games also use an initiative rating to determine attack order. That could represent mobility in our game. I know nothing about MTG, like I said before.

 absolutely, that's of course how it will be :)

If you wanna make a list of all the Tier 1s, Tier 2s, etc, that would help greatly :)

I'll start by trying to make balanced brackets

Pz.kpfw. III M3 Lee T-28
Pz.Kpfw IV M4 T-34
Hetzer T-40 SU-85B
Tiger M4E2 KV-1s
Bison M7 Priest SU-26
Pz.38 a.A M5 Stuart T-50

I could do a whole deck of these things too. Probably blue green red for the British tanks.

I'm always looking for new platoon mates to play with so if you have a mic and play on xbox one, hit me up so amusing team times can ensue.

Instants and sorceries could be tactics like focused fire, flanking manuevre, ammo racked etc.

well I would use green for heavies since green is the big beefy creatures colour, red for front heavy TD's I.E. high power low toughness, first strike stuff like that, blue for lights and mediums. The instants and sorcerys would cover all colours, green and red for buff, red for destruction, blue for maneuvers, red for burn and green for pit fighting tanks. then the multi colours, the at series being heavy and destructive go with green red, blue red for the more powerful quicker mediums like the comet or cromwell. God this sounds fun, will have to sit down and work out a deck.
