Lol funny you actually can stay well hidden and out of sight if you stay about 200 m back from the main force before you engage let the battle start to happen then volley your shotsin . That forces the enemy to have to either deal with the higher tiers in front of them or leave themselves unprotected to shoot at you.

9/10 they'll go straight for the lower tier in the back noticing the easy credits/xp

Some tanks can obviously be exceptions, but what of the numerous tanks that simply cannot pen 2t higher? Some tanks have trouble even tracking higher tier tanks

Flank, use premium, outplsy etc etc works in my Comet when I'm f***ing with tier 9s

And if they turn their turret to you, drop behind your cover again. How is this hard?

Use premium should NOT be the answer here. You shouldn't have to force yourself to lose silver every match just to remain competitive. Outplaying just simply doesn't work sometimes when you're at an extreme disadvantage.

This isn't an option when you can't tell you're being spotted because you don't have the view range and you just randomly explode while driving along

Who said anything about losing silver?

I carry between 3-15 shots of prem on all my tanks and use them only when needed as long as you make your shots count you will always make money.

 It is an equaliser for unfair fights, not using ANY premium ammo is silly, especially when out-tiered and outgunned.

Not when your tank only does ~ 100 damage a shot.

Then you obviously aren't 200 m behind the main force

Hint* they do the spotting for you, if they don't see the enemy you don't move up

I also carry 5 or so premium shells on each tank, which is around 20k silver per tank every match that i use them, often putting me into the negative because once they're gone, the tank is useless.

If your doing about 100 a shot with prem rounds you should be aiming for modules to try to go for an ammo rack or engine fire , or just simply track an enemy for your team (you don't need to kill tanks to score xp and credits)

So tracking an enemy or just hoping I'll get lucky and set them on fire are your answers to the ~4k/shot? Okay.

Tracking is obviously for regular shots but engine shots or ammo rack shots are what you should shoot for with prem rounds

Ammo racks and engine fires are not reliable enough to be a true viable tactic on a game by game basis. Now if I'm shooting at a tiger, of course. Other tanks, it just becomes a waste to even try to fight back knowing you'll get 2-shotted after doing about 300damage spending 12k silver

If I could handle higher tiers why can't you? Also, weakspots, learn them.

For the most part, I can. The problem is when you play, for example, something like a medium 3 and see tanks like the kv-1, there's nothing to do but sit back and be one-shotted. I have no trouble being one tier down and sometimes I do fine 2 tiers down, but I've been playing with friends who are newer to the game, some who aren't, and being put at a disadvantage almost every game really turns them off, often making our sessions quick, and dissuading them from playing again.

Some tanks are so bad, even -1/+1 won't help them.

What exactly is your problem with +1/-1? I've had to give plenty of reasons for it, what are your reasons against it?

(The question is genuine)

(the key isn't to get the extra damage from modules its to get the xp and silver bonus from damaging modules)

Again this is why your reduced to a support role at 2 below you should always let top tier heavies/mediums take point and support them from areas you can quickly bug out from, you are not expected to brawl it out with a full health top tier tank, if you are you are doing it wrong and need to adjust tactics.

This isn't COD and requires a lot more strategy to get a decent win rate or handle higher tier tanks.
