Hey Tankers!

As we get rolling with even more Back to School fun I thought we could cover another subject: English. This is for all of you aspiring writers out there who remember having to learn different aspects of writing in this particular subject.

This week your task is to write a Haiku about World of Tanks. For those of you unfamiliar with what Haiku's are they are a poem that consists of 17 syllables, normally separated as three lines as 5-7-5.

Example by Mana WGA:

The warmth on my hull,
Bomb falls beneath the roof.
Explode into night.

The Top 10 entries will receive 750 gold

How to join the contest:

  • Write and post your Tank Haiku in this thread

Rules:

  • All players are welcome to join the contest but each player can submit only one entry.
  • Entries must be written exclusively for this contest.
  • Entries must comply with the moral, ethical, and legal standards, as well as with the Forum rules.
  • Wargaming gains exclusive rights to the contest entry when you post it on the forum, as outlined in the “10. User Generated Content” section of the Terms of Service

The submission deadline is September 15 at 06:00 PST (August 4 13:00 UTC).

Forgive me but...

Sorry: Your Haiku is 5-6-5

"Bomb falls beneath the roof" (be-neath)

      1.      1.       2.        1.    1

Is that intentional? I'm guessing not as you correctly outline 5-7-5. FYI there should also be a juxtaposition between two points and a seasonal reference. TBH that only scratches the surface! lol

Do hope this doesn't cause offence.

Kindest Regards,

Barry

Nice,  I like it man.

Thanks. It's pretty cool seeing all the creativity people have put into their compositions.
