30 Tonnes of Peace and War

The soft voice of spring

The subtle touches of steel

The Thunder Erupts

I will post the meaning of the haiku down below but feel free to read it and find your own meaning as well.

The haiku I choose to write is meant to describe the uncertainty of war. The title, 30 Tonnes of Peace and War describes what a tank is in two ways. First, a tank for the men who operated them was not only a tank, but basically a home as well. Months are spent in it and men lived, died, and became hero's in them. Peace in the title is the time out of battle where the world can be enjoyed without worry. War is more obviously the purpose of the tank which is warfare and the actions that must be taken to ensure your own survival.

The first line paints a picture of the calm away from battle. Waiting with no sounds but the sounds of nature which completely contrast the destruction of war. Many of the places where these tank battles took place are normally beautiful and peaceful places that many people never get to see. The time away from battle allowed for the men to really get lost in the current, but short lasting quiet.

The second line puts the tank into focus, but not as a war machine, but a masterpiece of perfectly related parts destined to be destroyed. The efforts put into creating the machines is as impressive as the tanks themselves and the second line attempts to bring that detail to focus.

The last line is the eruption of battle. The first shot the shatters the silence in which it mimics the sound of thunder rolling through the sky with a bouncing echo. The contrast between the first two lines of a peaceful scene and the explosion into battle shows the uncertainty and the unpredictable, and yet completely expected realities of war while keeping with the traditional relation to nature that haikus are known for.

I hope you all like it and good luck.

The catch 22 of WoT: 1. Rages at team for being terrible. 2. Goes on forums complaining about terrible team mates. 3. Another thread comes talking about making the player base less terrible. 4. People agree n such. 5. Idea comes to better the average how's skill. 5. People dislike the idea/ call it terrible. 6. Plays game and complains about terrible team mates.
