Hello Tankers,

 

We have made several adjustments to existing maps to try and improve your gaming experience.  How did we do?  Please give us your feedback on the following:

 

Changes:

 

  • Erlenberg Encounter
  • Mountain Pass Encounter spawn points have now been changed. Team 1: A4 and corner of B2; Team 2: H8 and J8 
  • Mountain Pass Standard spawn points adjusted slightly for both bases
  • Fisherman's Bay Encounter spawn points have been moved: J4 and K4 for team 2
  • Fisherman's Bay Standard team 1 base moved to A6
  • Lakeville Encounter spawn points have been moved slightly
  • Prohorovka Encounter has its base radius set to the standard 50 meters and moved slightly north
  • Erlenberg Assault base has been moved to A4/5 and the attackers have been moved to K9 and J0
  • Malinovka Encounter base has been moved to H3
  • Malinovka Assault defending team has been moved to B8
  • Malinovka Standard spawn points have been moved slightly
  • El Halluf Encounter Team 2 spawn points moved slightly
  • Province - Rocks added to H3 to block line of sight

In my personal opinion the moving of the spawn on Erlenberg makes going to the left hand side of the map a death trap unless you have enough support which is hard to get as most players seem to want to go the easy route to the cap circle along the valley down the right. This is fine but it leaves the attackers flank hard to defend whereas in my opinion, it was a fairer fight when the spawn where placed in their pre patch 1.5 position. Thanks for listening!

I almost never post on the forums but I just fell I had to say something even tho nothing will be done about it because one opinion never matters.. the spawn on Malinovka assault if you spawn in the north as defense and your an artillery your dead if your in a high tier match your artillery is too slow to make it up the hill before you get spotted by there tank's. So thanks for ruining that map for me :)

I preferred the old Erlenberg assault. With the entire assaulting Team spawning on one side it's feeling unbalanced now. I found it to be better and more balanced before. It seems to be attacker advantage now.

i'll take anything back in place of erlenberg encounter that's my only dislike each side hill snipe dead i've had it come up twice today and i already hate it just my opinion

We are getting 2 new maps, but losing 4? Did I hear that right? I would have figured on losing 2 if it was a rotation. Please correct me if I'm wrong (hopefully).

We lost maps? Which ones? This is the official thread, so why isn't it mentioned?

Nvm, just found it. info is all over the place.

  • Maps Rotated out - These are currently being re-balanced and re-worked to be re-introduced at a later date.

    • Arctic Region

    • Sand River
    • Westfield
    • Widepark

I personally am not arguing with removing arctic and widepark (just idiot magnets in my opinion), but they removed sand river? What for? There aren't any differences in the xbox's version vs the PC. I also suspect they're going to be remodeling Westfield for how it is in the PC, meaning they're going to destroy the bridge in places so you can't cross it anymore.

I am very disappointed that maps were removed from the game because you guys decided to cap the file size at 3GB. This will obviously mean that we will never be able to play a complete game but are stuck with a selection of maps that you guys decide that we can play. I also dont understand why Province wasn´t removed if maps had to be removed. We only get to play Province in low tier Micro Machines. I'm sure nobody would have missed it. Very strange decision making.

As I understand it sand river was removed as your data shows it's unbalanced.

 

I'm still struggling to get my head round this one as I've always considered it one of the most balanced maps in all 3 modes. I find that no matter what tank you're in sand river enables a few options on how to approach any given game. Also I find that no matter what base you spawn in you have an even chance of winning.

The only thing I might see changing is the location of the cap in encounter mode to take the hill out of play, but as the cap's kind of redundant in sand river assault I'm not sure it's entirely necessary.

Me too. I don't mind them tweaking the map but the bridge is what makes it unique.

Just remember, United is speculating. This isn't the PC, so it doesn't automatically mean the maps will be like on the PC.

No-one will know what they're up to until they are released. Not worth worrying about.

Much as I appreciate the new maps, I must say I'm disappointed to gain two maps, but lose four. The game really needs more variety, not less. And I happened to like most of the ones that were removed.
