  • Maps Rotated out - These are currently being re-balanced and re-worked to be re-introduced at a later date.

    • Arctic Region

    • Sand River
    • Westfield
    • Widepark

 

Your post makes it look like the maps were taken out of rotation for a reason other than size limitations on the 4 gb xbox. You should fix it.

Malin on Assault needs to be:

 

A. Removed altogether

B. Have better spawn points. One game, many players on the defending team were committed to climb the hill(where the old defending spawn point existed) rather than eliminate the reds.

As artillery it's not that bad. When you spawn there's a small little hill you can hide behind that will block shots. It's a serious chore not getting spotted though, gotta depend on your teammates heavily.

Could you just take out malinovka assault as very few people actually enjoy it. Since to defenders have been moved off the hill (their biggest advantage) it has TD's suffer a bit has they generally lack health and armor and will be more vulnerable, arty has just been smacked in the face by this... They cannot hide!, and assault game mode on malinovka is ,well, just broken.
The catch 22 of WoT: 1. Rages at team for being terrible. 2. Goes on forums complaining about terrible team mates. 3. Another thread comes talking about making the player base less terrible. 4. People agree n such. 5. Idea comes to better the average how's skill. 5. People dislike the idea/ call it terrible. 6. Plays game and complains about terrible team mates.

I suspect a lot of people will find it hard to sympathise with artillery being disadvantaged slightly ;-)

Even with the changes to Mali assault it is still terrible defending or assaulting. While it removes some frustration of team mates camping on defense it still needs to go away IMO. You guys have changed it twice now and it's still bad. Please just remove assault from Mali. Thanks.

I totally agree.  I have spawned with an Arty 6 times since this move and always all alone near the water and within 30 seconds there is a light tank killing me before I can even get set up in a safe zone.  It just ends in a repair bill and silver loss since I was able to do nothing.

I am not sure if I should put this in this thread or not but it has to do with the map changes.  Ever since the patch that aweful Ensk comes up every 3rd battle for me and my platoon mates for the last 2 days.  It does not matter what tier we are playing from 2-10 this awful map shows up constantly.  In my opinion this map is to small for anything over a Tier V,or VI at absolute most.  in 4 hours this morning the 3 of us got this map every 3rd game.  Rotation was running like this Ensk, Komarin, Mountain Pass, Ensk, (random Redshire or Siegfrieds), Komarin Mountain Pass, Ensk....We only saw Port 1 time in 4 hours (although that was actually a blessing.

iam not happy with limitation, but  i like what removing maps did to map rotation, i can actually play new maps more often

I've said this since when Mali Assault got added into the game. Spawn half up and half down. The moving of the flag to its current position helps but spawning all the defending team below has now put the attacks on the always win.

 

And tell me why that the spawns on Mountain Pass encounter, which before the change were beyond anything but pointless to play if you got spawned waterfall side, did you change them quickly and the only thing to change on mali encounter is the flag cap? The church spawn needs to change. People are going to go for the hill because people are stupid but they are going to get removed to the garage very quickly because you always get overrun. I can't understand why this hasn't been changed.

 

Please realise that too many people think that this is a TDM and will not go for the flag.

That weren't removed, obviously you don't read very well because they have stated on several different posts that they are being modified and rebalanced. READ the fine print, duh!!!!!

Most of the changes to the maps don't make much difference apart from what this fella says.  Now instead of the defenders refusing to move off the hill and losing they just get massacred.  if your going to keep the spawn where it is put a second one near the church building thingy to stop the reds coming straight up the wing and catching the entire team in a cross fire before they have had time to manoeuvre or crawl up the hill, which appears to be the new leaming train.

Same here, spawned away from other players takes ages to get to safe location if not got by a scout first, only happens in Arty.

Everything is great to me. Just 1 issue Where and what has happened to 4 of the Maps we used to play on?

I haven't seen any since the update . sure do miss them.

Well its actually both, they had stated that they are also starting to use a new compression system for the game to fit more content on and pulled these maps out for rebalancing and tweaks in the meantime, also they stated later on they will go past their current 3 GB limit but want to cater to as many possible customers as possible until they do

Malinovka Assault is just awful for the defenders.

It is so one sided (more than before) that I just feel like switching off when I get that dice roll. (I don't...I take my punishment like a man)

 

Now 1.5 has been out for a while and I'm sure many, many games of Mali Assault have been played, is it possible to give us an insight into what is happening since the change?

It would be really interesting to know how many of these games have been won by the defenders.  A %-age would do.
