Please consider his request WG! For example, if 5 entries were submitted, could the five other prizes be split amongst the winners?

This isn't going to work. There are too many pictures on google and bing, of people doing this. So you really can't trust anyone.

I love how this guy received negative marks for making an honest and very viable statement. *Sarcasm*

It showed up on the Web portal for me this morning. Haven't logged in to the game to verify it is there yet. It wasn't last night though.

Sorry about the delay.  Payment of your contest winnings should have gone out last night.  Let me know via PM if you still do not see it. :)

Yes.  If there are not enough to make a full list of winners, then the prizes that would have gone out will be redistributed amongst the existing winners.  That having been said, I do believe that we will get more egg drops by the deadline. :)

come on skymdx, i know you want to make one too :)

Since Quazaka is egging me on to this (bad pun is bad ) I did think of a pretty ingenious design, simple too. :)

Supplies used include a small mail envelope lined with the little air bubble things and tissue for extra padding for the egg. Pretty simple, with the rigidity of the envelope and the extra soft padding the egg should be fine. Before:

For my egg dropping experiment I have utilized an egg-carrying apparatus consisting of a coating of several hundred feathers, 2 shock-absorbing landing gear on the bottom, 2 glide assist mechanisms on the sides that should auto-deploy and reduce descent velocity upon release of the apparatus, and a self-righting mechanism on top that should ensure that the apparatus lands on the shock-absorbing gear.

Apparatus with egg inside:

Spoiler

The apparatus was held over my head and released from an altitude of approximately 7 feet.

While some unexpected noises occurred upon release, the glide assist mechanisms did deploy as expected and the entire apparatus landed gently on the ground, albeit some 10 feet away from the release point, and with considerably more flapping than expected.

Some time later the egg was released from its protective container and found to be perfectly intact:

Spoiler

While I believe this apparatus can protect eggs dropped from even greater heights, I did not repeat the experiment as the apparatus seemed rather distrusting of me after the first attempt.

here we go...

i enlisted the help of my co workers to do the final touch (taping the parachute leads) but otherwise my own work. they wanted to watch it on break today to see the results.

used 2 Styrofoam plates, some newsprint packing paper (parachute) some old USPS label paper we don't use anymore, and pencils and tape. and a few packing peanuts in a layer of tape for a landing pad (attached at base of unit)

(sorry, its 2 pics for the first one, last is entry pic, first 1 is so you can see what it is.

before:

after: (i had to go thru with it, i hoped it would still be an omelet someday/ but sky can sure cook : )

was fun dropping it from the 15 foot ladder, and the egg compartment hung a few feet down, so operation ten foot drop was successful.

matter of fact it came down so easily, and was so sucessfull they made me cut off the parachute and drop it from 15feet again.

Bonus pic

Quazakaharet out, and happy tanking!!!!
