Cool thread. I really enjoy mediums for all the same reasons. I don't have an extensive collection yet but so far I actually enjoy my T23 the most. I feel like it is just good at everything, no matter how you wanna play. I always have a blast in that tank. The PZ 5/4 is another tank I really enjoy. I am also currently going up the Japan line. They have been decent but I am really looking to the STA-1 and beyond. Also, I am very close to getting the T69. I know there are some mixed reviews on that tank but I have been super excited to play those tanks since I started the line. Hopefully I can have it by the end of the week.

I like em for their speed. Heavies and TD's are fun but when randoms derp out and die on the oposite side of the map you can't defend your base or attack the enemy base fast enough.

mediums can adapt to your horrible randoms better than other classes.

My most played class is heavies...the fast ones were my favorite since day one. That's what originally got me into mediums, and I'm learning the skills needed and have put up some decent games in some of the higher tier ones. The T-54 and E-50 are the highest ones I have, and they are both bada** tanks that can turn a battle.

Can't wait for the E-50M:)

I debated buying the T23 and think I regret not getting it now. I did buy the PZ 5/4 and have a blast playing it. I'm also going down the Japanese line and have the same expectation. Keep your excitement going for the T69, I really enjoy playing mine. keep in mind you cannot go it alone the way you can with other mediums. Platoon or tag along with a group and play it as a strictly support role.

I play them because you can't rely on randoms, and because of that, the versatility of mediums is invaluable.

4202 is my tank of choice, it can do everything, except win a race.

Well, it could win races going uphill!

Awesome. Thanks for the input on the T69. It seems to fit my style of play. I do usually like to try and stick with another tank when I run mediums, so I shouldn't have any issue adapting to the T69. Sounds like we have similar taste in the mediums. Good stuff.

So I'm not a big TD player, but I do enjoy those that play more like a medium. The T49 and Hellcat make good flankers but are a little to fragile for a pure medium playstyle but I really enjoy the T25 AT and JPanther for this reason. Now are these supposed to be played like mediums or am I just adapting them to the playstyle and playing them all wrong?

The only thing they have in common is some decent straight forward speed.  No turret, no gun depression, low RoF, etc. will let you down in many situation where mediums can excel.  Those are fast snipers, not mediums by any stretch.

Mediums are more fun for me.

I like their speed, combined with an "adequate" gun.

I'm into both Stang-Flanking and T00KAPPED-Flanking.

Stang is a dirty girl.

So far, I like the T-54 but I believe that will change once I unlock the T-62A

Thanks, I'll adjust my playstyle and see how it goes. I find the gun on the JPanther is great for sniping but the T25 AT seems to troll me when trying to snipe so I often get in too close playing it like a medium. I'll try to be more of a support flanker with it and stay back a little more.

I prefer Mediums because they have decent speed and firepower so they can scout or flank most maps wether they're  top or bottom tier. I don't usually have the patience to play TDs (unless as an assault gun) and Heavy tanks have their armor nullified by all the gold rounds or high tier TDs.

I don’t know how to act my age! I’ve never been this old before!

What is a medium tank? Sounds totally OP.

A wolfpack of skilled medium tanks ranging from tier 8-10 can quickly single out every single tank on opfor in tier 10 matches, destroying them all rapidly. I got to experience this twice. The matches were very fun,  but competing with other skilled  mediums with similar play styles for damage points is a challenge. BTW I wasn't  platooning in those matches. I just got lucky.

Long live mediums!  Cheers!

I play them for two reasons:

1.  Everything you said about versatility.  They allow me to play every map, every situation, take on different roles, etc.

2.  They are more difficult to excel in, and I like the challenge.

This ..
