The Pershing is able to go hull down with decent success if played correctly as it has a good size mantlet and has a better gun than the hard stats lead to believe.

Indy panz has a high aim time.

Centurion is overly average with good pen and accuracy.

I haven't played the STA-1 either so I can only go off of what the stats show.

The Indien has really good dispersion overall, the 2.9s aim time does not feel that bad.
Centurion has a good turret tier for tier, too. For the reasons that you stated this tank has better chances against higher tiers.
STA-1 for what it seems like it also has a similar laid out turret as the Pershings'.

DPM wise: STA-1 = Indien Pz (1920) > Pershing (1752) > Centurion (1725)

All have -10 Gun depression.
View Range: Centurion Mk.1 = Pershing (400m) > STA1 (390m) > Indien Panzer (380m)

Track traverse: STA-1 (44 deg/sec) > Pershing = Indien Panzer ( 38 deg/sec)  > Centurion Mk.1 (36 deg/sec)

Penetration: Centurion Mk.1 (225) > STA-1 (218) > Indien Panzer (212) > Pershing (190)

Accuracy: Centurion Mk.1 (0.33) >  Indien Panzer (0.34) > STA-1 (0.36) > Pershing (0.37)

Aim time: Centurion Mk.1 = STA-1 = Pershing (2.3s) > Indien Panzer (2.9s)

Top Speed: Indien Panzer (50 km/h) > Pershing (48km/h) >  STA-1 (45 km/h) > Centurion Mk.1 (40 km/h)

Out of the four, my favorite is the Indien Panzer.

The Pershing sure has similar stats but the lack of pen and accuracy make it fall behind the others.

These 4 are the most flexible Mediums this is why I did not mention the Panther 2, T69 and T44

The T44 is the best tier 8 medium...then the Pershing. The t69 is incredibly powerful as well.

It's my sub 50% medium not a tier X and you have better damage ratio then I do; mine is even less then even.  It was the first tier VIII I owned though so plenty of bad play in it.  I just rebought it after the buff and played it again after nearly a year and I think I figured it out.  I did ok with it for about 10 games.  Before I never used premium though and now .........  let's just say it makes a BIG difference in the Pershing.  But though I did well in it the second time around I still lost more then won out of those 10 games so there is still that  :)

The Indien actually has 380m view range. Those numbers are all based on hard stats which you missed one-

Shot dispersion moving= Centurion> Pershing> Indien> T-44

Why is the expected w/r in the pershing only 51% and my own w/r is only 49%? I'm a capable pershing driver and I like to think I bring more good things to my team than bad, but no, apparently I am garbage and having me on your team means we're at a slight disadvantage. :( I don't understand how that could be. My overall w/r is 56%.

I messed that up ^.... Try running it in a platoon for a while and see if that helps it go up, and if so..... Those BOTs WoT puts on your team are to blame.

ummm I love my Pershing and my stats on it are pretty consistent with the stats on my other mediums. So I would say that the Pershing is neither worse nor better than the rest, although it is one of my favorites so far

I have a win % of 58 in my Pershing. You are correct in your thoughts, you are a very capable driver and play the Pershing competently according to your statistics. The Pershing is a very good tank and one of my favorites.

As for the win rate, while you can influence it to some degree, you can not control it 100%. You are at the mercy of match making and your fellow team mates. Platooning does help, but it is not an end all solution.

After looking at my win rates on certain tanks I have noticed that my newer tanks do not have as high of a win rate as some of my older tanks. I would think that the opposite would be true, having more experience now than when I first started. Perhaps it is because I'm not as familiar with my new tanks as the older ones, but again your team does influence it and lately the teams I've come across have been less than stellar. You can only carry a team so much.

My win rate is 66%. I really like the pershing as it can take advantage of most situations with its well rounded stats. Hull down and that turret starts approaching troll level bouncy. And that premium pen value.

I've played all tier 8 mediums except the japs (i'm at tier VII)... Pershing is the tank I have the best numbers by far.. most damage , best win percentage  , most kills per game. At first i hated it cause I was used of Panthers II and centurions greater penetration and I also debated on an older post and said that it was the worst tier VIII medium!!! boy was i wrong... after 50 games with it I loved it. It is an underestimated tank. Its all about playing style. The way I play mediums which is agressively always  in the front line with the heavies and spoting as close to the enemis as possible , pershing suits me best. Second favorite was the T-44.  If u dont do well with a specific particular tanks it just dont fit your playing style.

Prem shells isn't something that should be regarded as something to rely on.

Terrain resistance is very similar among these vehicles (0.1 difference). I disregard soft terrain because of how odd it's behavior is sometimes.

Oddly enough, the Centurion has better camo than Indien and pershing (In which both have very similar camo). STA has the best of the four.(Excluding the T44 here).

Again the shot dispersion is already good enough on these tanks so not really something to debate about. (Though the Centurion sometimes feels that you are aiming longer than you should.) That is of course if you are using BIA, vents, verstabs, smooth riding and Snapshot of course.

Yes, I was wrong with the Indiens View range, correcting it now.

Relying on premi shells? No. But it's still a factor that shouldn't be disregarded.

The Centurion has the worst camo out of all of them... Lower values mean less camo rating.

The shot dispersion I refer to is bloom based on hull movement and they are different enough to make note of.

Damn it, for some reason my tank inspector was displaying 19% on the centurion earlier, now it is showing 11.4%, the same for the STA-1, it was showing 24% instead of 15.5%. Pershing and indien were at ~19%, too.
