I'm taking it to be that you could also do charities that help provide war aid/relief to civilians and the wounded

Yes you can. As long as they are driven towards helping vets, their families, those who were wounded in action, or even those who take care of the military men and women on the battlefield.

Here is my entry.
I used the Motor industry slogan and I am using it as my charity.

The text in the image reads "I am the tank.." then "...One of the many inventions, made by" and finally the name of the company "THE MOTOR INDUSTRY".

Sorry for lack of colour but I had very little time. I have spent a total of 2 hours on this between the time of me seeing the competition and posting it. First image is my entry and the second is a screenshot for proof I drew the image and did not steal it from the web.

So, does it has to be a REAL Charity? or can we invent one?  not sure I understand that part well. My definition of charity may differ from some, but I hope to find the time for this one

"I don't demand that people think or behave the way I do. I have just as many questions about my own ideas as other people might have about my ideas. I'm not convinced I'm absolutely right all the time, but I'll take the chance and state my opinion at the time that I have it. I may regret it later, I may even change my mind later, but I take a stand."-  Frank Zappa

This has to be a real charity. The purpose of this contest is to create awareness for the charity of your choice.

Well, throwing my hat into the ring again, after a break from the contests, my entry not so much a CHARITY, but was  CIVIL DEFENSE;: a group of people who are not part of the military but are trained to protect and help people if an enemy attacks their country or if there is a natural disaster (such as a flood or earthquake), like the RED CROSS....HERE IS MY ENTRY....
