It had to be one of the two I guess.

Own both of them, though it seems smaller in the image.

My one ain't so pretty because I didn't paint it meself, I put the little box thing though on the back of the turret.

Done two myself. One of both types. Also a smaller 1/72nd scale Revell one when I was younger. This one was actually a testbed for me to get "Muddy" as it is a cheap kit that is in high supply from my local hobby store.

I need to travel all the way to the rather nice name but slightly boring Lake District in Britonne, then travel for about an hour or two on a bus to get to a store that sells Revell stuff, including the Pz II Ausf F/G.

To get Tamiya I need to travel the opposite direction to Blackpool, and then perhaps another hour travel to a store that sells them, it also sold Revell but only planes last I saw, which was quite annoying.

Pz II seems a good enough tank to use as a sacrifice so other models may be better, because to be frank it doesn't really look that good of a tank in my opinion.

My only hobby shop is an overpriced Hobbycraft in my town but the PZ II is cheap enough for my purposes. I generally go online for the bigger kits that I'm after.

Used the techniques on this tank to do a similar job on my 1/35th scale Panther but for a dried mud look that needs more work till I'm happy with it.

Only hobby shop that I can actually get to within a rather decent enough time, sells only Airfix stuff, which is dandy except I own every single one of their tanks and greatly dislike 1/76 anyway.

Not a fan of really ever making my tank look like it's got dried mud or battle scars, nor do I even own any kind of weathering material, dried mud, foilage or that sorta stuff.

The models are made to go sit on a shelf and look pretty while they collect dust, nothing really else.

I tend to mainly do Tamiya models with a slight dip into Revell for aircraft. Never really liked Airfix as i got into model building. Not much else that I can readily get from the store in town. Have to travel to Edinburgh or Glasgow if I want something more exotic.

Usually I only give a wash to accent the recessed panel lines but decided to try something different. Probably going to get another PZ II to do a winter whitewash of some type

The panzer 2 in the photo is also my first airbrush attempt.

Similarly mine go onto a shelf to collect dust as well only to be moved to make space for more.

I think almost most of my planes are Airfix, although a fair few are Revell, or just pre-built things.

Airfix were the first models I used and easiest to get, but now that I've used other ones, quite easy to tell they are quite bleugh.

I think just about every single one of my models was just painted with paint brush, and whatever paint lying around.

Never had the equipment or knew how to do anything more precise, and if their Airfix it's of course rather troublesome to try anything.

Running out of space on my shelf actually, the shelf that has most of the planes on has actually ran out of space, so no planes for a while.

I just used trial and error to get the airbrush to work. Only done the airbrush as relatives of mine gave me an airbrush and air compressor otherwise it would have been the old paint and paintbrush method.

There must be about about 10 different coats of paint on that tank alone.

That reminds me to go and get more shelf's to put more up. Just need to fill them up when I get them.

Thank you War Gaming for choosing me as one of the winners. I had fun creating it. And if it was not for this contest the tank would still be under my bed in a box collecting dust...lol No room to display large models in my household.

See Ya on the battlefield!
