So I got rather bored with having only Premium tanks in my garage, and since I rarely ever play my V/IV, my Jerry crew was just collecting dust, decided that I would grind the Tiger(P), I already had it Free XP'd to be 100% upgraded about a month ago.

And so

I platooned with a fellow Forumite also in a Tiger(P).

Now as I found out about the Tiger(P), well it took the nickname I gave it of 'The Wall', rather well.

Spoiler

Honourable mentions to the Borsig who met The Wall, while parked sideways to me, and down a hill, he did not have a good day, which was another 3k damage game, against JTiger, Borsig, Ferdi, IS-8, T29 and I think a shot into an E-75, that too was 1st Class ;-;

And of course, to the Comet who I shoved into water on Erlenberg, and then parked on top of his tank.

Yeah, think I quite like this thing, though it'll be a right bugger to ace I feel, a lot more than the Tiger I, so perhaps this is why the Tiger I gets buffed and the (P) doesn't.

It takes lot to get an Ace in the Tiger P. I had to earn 1,987 base xp to earn mine, just keep up the damage :)

Well it sucks I'm having to share the damage with someone in most of my games thus far.

It's going to happen in that one random game that happens at 3am and makes me just spend the rest of the night shaking uncontrollably from the stress.

Prefer the Tiger H over the Tiger P myself. However, it is a Tiger nonetheless. With its frontal armor, facing on head on can be a chore unless you know about the turret hatch and weakpoints along the front plate.

Good luck with your Tiger P :)

So far very few people actually seem to realise where they can pen that, heck in the game with 7 kills, I played VERY aggressively, probably a lot more than I should be, which pitted me against about 5 tanks on my left, front, right, arty shooting at me, I think they penned about 4 shots.

Even had a JTiger bounce off my side somehow.

Seems already a bit more fun of a grind than the Tiger I, granted that I only played the Tiger I completely stock and didn't bother changing to the 8.8 L/56 package, and didn't play once with it fully upgraded as the Tiger II was already researched via the Panther.

The Tiger H's magic is its prowess with the Lange 88. Granted, that has been buffed recently but it has always been the last package that makes the Tiger I worth while.

Don't get me wrong, I believe in both the Tiger I and Tiger P. Both are notably gifted in their specialty. I just prefer the Tiger I because she is my baby xD

-_- Yes, people seem to be clueless that the Tiger P's front armor is literally riddled with weakpoints that are fairly obvious even by WoT standards.

If I had to compare them to another well known pairing, I would have to compare the two Tigers to the Sherman Easy Eight and the Sherman Jumbo. Both are specialists in opposite combat strategies and both can perform very well. It is really a matter of personal preference.

Wasn't a big fan of the Pz IV at all, especially having to go back to get the VK.30.01(P).

(P) just felt like a let-down in most regards, it had some bounces here and there but overall it just was lacklustre.

I didn't play the Tiger(P) at all stock, nor with the L/56, so I have no idea how it plays out with that as all my games in it thus far have been with the L/71.

Seeing as I got 1/3 of the required XP for the VK.45.02(P) Ausf. A, though I really don't have intentions to play it, in a single sitting, I can see it being an amusing grind.

I probably would have a much better time in the Tiger I if I played it fully upgraded, or got it back after it's most recent buff, but even stock it wasn't that bad of a grind, 'course it was fun trying to carry a team of morons with a 7.5 in a Tier VIII game.

Most people just seem to instantly load Gold the second they see a Tiger P on the enemy team, even then they still aim for parts that they don't even do damage even if it does go in.

Big fan of the E8, Jumbo was lacklustre.

I'd probably take the Tiger (P) over the Tiger I, but I really did wish the Tiger (P) just fired a slightly bit faster, though it still does perform rather well, it still would just be nice.

I will be saving some xp/cash up to skip straight to the final package once I unlock the tank... I have 10 million convertible xp so that wont be an issue...

Seems the most logical idea to do with the Tiger(P) since you ain't really ever going to be actually flanking a tank to be able to pen it.

Manage to Ace it today, twice, although the first AT wasn't really that impressive, though I did successfully brawl an IS-3 for the 2nd or 3rd time and win.

But well the second AT...

Spoiler

Had to hold the entire town on Live Oaks, Standard, almost entirely by myself against a 416, T69, S-51(Don't know why he was there, but hey he probably could have hit me for 1,000 damage), E8, T29 and T25/2.

But alas, the team just couldn't pull a win apparently, because why is it that when that M44 shoots 20 shots from the same spot, gets spotted there at the start by a suicide scout, gets spotted there in the exact same spot by the friendlies who pushed the other flank and died, get spotted by me advancing on him 3 times, and not one shot even fired his way aside from the single one I fired which just did track damage.

So yeah, not a big fan of our arty that game, they didn't help me against any of the tanks in the city, they didn't shoot the obvious enemy arty and cost us the game, didn't even assist me in a duel that almost got me killed against the enemy T69.

Havel the Rock/The Wall has sadly been retired as I rarely keep tanks after getting them fully researched and Ace'd, but not before the final game where I got to make an E-75 angry, bouncing 3 shots of APCR off my frontal armour when it was angled and he had nowhere else to shoot at.
