First, please keep in mind this is not a serious suggestion, I know these will never be added, it is just and idea of what armoured recce vehicles would be like if they were introduced. Also, as recce vehicles, these are not intended to have armament effective against all tanks, and their guns would only be for opportunity shots at the sides and rear of enemy tanks, they are intended as a sort of 'super-scout'.

I produced a French line to tier 8 here: http://forum-console..._fromsearch__1

I like some of the vehicles you've put in (some of which I didn't know about), but I feel like you've overtiered some of them, as the Panhard 178 at tier 6 in your line has a gun which (I think) is on the tier 1 FT. That said, good job!

You did a good job, at least you got a load of good feedback, and not 'this will never happen these are pointless, how would this work? etc...'' like I did on my British and German threads. And yes, the 25mm is on the Renault FT, the only problem is, most armoured cars tend not to have guns that would be effective against the kind of tanks here. The thing with French armoured cars is that up until the 50s, they have guns from the 30s, and after the 50s, they have high-velocity large calibre weapons. Its quite hard to find a middle ground on armament.

Yeah, I had that problem with the French line too, so ended up using the various AML prototypes which didn't have autoloaders for tier 5 and 6.

The question is, how would they do stuff? Unless you put a lot of speed or better armor, they're just like the TOG but with a machine gun.

They would be very fast, very mobile, and have very high view range, further than light tanks. To balance them you could cap them at 1 or 2 per team. A lot of speed you say? Look at the proposed tier IX, the Panhard ABR. 100 km/h on flat ground. That's 21 km/h more than a Pz.IC. The guns are intended to take opportunity shots at sides and rears of tanks, so aren't very powerful. The lack of armour compared to normal tanks also balances them.

So ELC's but more annoying though you can one shot them or tap them and they will die? Seems fair but there's still a problem, people who think Speed = Ram Damage will just die instantly and rage.

Well then just make a training guide for armoured cars. Or, better yet, give them their own game mode and let havoc unfold!

.....and then you woke up  :arta:, not a bad idea though.

Excuse my horrible stats, its not my fault it's my WiFi's fault. (Doing 0 damage, lagging out to a pond, disconnecting as soon as your about to finish off a tank or just been spotted, trigger to shot delay every other game  etc can screw your stats up. Plus just generally having bad games. So don't judge.)

You could damn near death circle a light tank in some of these. lol   That'd be a hoot.

Tier 2 sounds OP. Tier 5 sounds like the failure of the line (50km/h speed, lacking gun). Tier 8+ sounds absolutely amazing though. But shouldn't the EBR be at tier 8 instead of 9?

Current Grinds: Type 58 (113)

Current Garage: STB-1, B-C 25t, T-62A, T57 Heavy, lots of random premiums, and tanks that I'm grinding.

Tanks To Re-buy: WT Auf E-100, FV4202, M53/55, Tiger II, T110E5, Leopard 1

I suppose that the EBR would be better off swapping places with the AML, but at the time I couldn't see any difference other than more wheels.

It's more for the sake of chronological tiering on that one. As the EBR was designed around 1951-1954 and the AML was late 1950s. And the EBR is essentially an AMX 13 90 with wheels, so tier 8 seems to be more fitting. And the AML looks like a closer 'relative' to the AMX 10 RC.
