The new " don't spam to keep come open" I need to ping the map more than twice a lot of the time to alert my team to a situation they might not see and I know one of the worst mistakes players make is not looking at the map so please WG take this annoying feature off the game asap. -blinky:angry:

*sigh*

Just don't spam the pings!

ping once or twice, use a Radial, and get on with the game

I use it more than once because the average player won't look at their map unless someone pings 2-4 times. At the very least take down the text that says stop spamming to keep comes open, it's reductive because I'm trying to communicate with my team.

( Keep in mind I have not played since the Xbox one release )

There are times when we need to ping several parts of the map, usually a maximum of two locations. Everyone will agree the radial system is not perfect, there is no way to tell someone to back up round a corner, or for example, "Go over here while the other guy goes over here". We can only tell them to fall back, we are unable to tell them where to fall back too.

Also to address the mic option, all it takes is for yourself or the players on your team to be in a party chat for this option to be completely unusable.

I am yet to try the updated version but I imagine it might be a pain.

I've said before, but pinging the map is useless anyway; players will be aware you're pinging but will have no idea where or why. Most people are using the compass map which, bizarrely, is the default. Most people don't even know the proper mini map exists.

i am too gud for that mini-map    really i just got in the habit of flashing up my main map every few seconds, and the compass map is much better at showing positions of tanks near you, better for local area awareness, i need to know if i am being flanked in a brawl, not that the t95 on the other side of the map is.....

The compass is the correct map for me. The square map is unreadable and doesn't rotate with the player. If I want a large map I hit the back button. The compass provides a large amount of data for a short distance, which is a different tool than a large distance, which the back button already does.

^ But you two know what you're doing, so the compass map is right for you and should definitely be included in the game as an option. Most people don't know what they're doing though, which is why they should have the mini map as default

Why? So the greentards who pop the "how many X's you got" can try and tell /me/ how to play? I'd rather not get another comms ban for having to deal with the idiots more than I already do with having to deal with 14-10 people on my team who probably dont know how to zoom the [edited] gun in. Pointless being in gamechat. Between the tomato's and lemons who think their Gods, and the [edited]spamming rap, to the guy raging about the 50/50 MM and his team as I try to carry his sorry self to a win.... Not worth it on the 1% chance one of the greentards has at least half a brain to listen to some sense and pay attention and heed advice.

Some of the people that were in gamechat after I came back to play a few games before bed... My god... I could feel my IQ dropping. >.>

TL;DR gamechat is useless and the greentards are OP.

Problem may be new players not knowing ho to change the map. The default map doesn't let you see anything unless it's right in front of you unfortunately.

These topics are getting hilarious. I read how people want to ping a certain place more than once and get trolled by the game. I tested it awhile ago and was able to ping once, then ping again as soon as the yellow circle around the pinged area was gone, over and over and over and over and over.

The key is, DON'T SPAM THE BUTTON!!! When you go spastic and press the A button 50 times during the duration of the initial ping THAT'S SPAMMING, and it locks you out!

Press-2-3
Press-2-3
Press-2-3......

I understand where you're coming from but it was put in to stop the rage spammers.  There are hundreds of those compared to the cool calm collected players that are trying to give good info.

If someone spams the map I just purposely ignore it most of the time, I'll check once and if they start spamming treat them as a troll and stop paying attention.

No it is not.  My OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, once is not always enough.    If I am in sniper view, I missed your ping.   If I am in a firefight with 2-3 tanks, I missed your ping.   If I am circle strafing a tank in my light tank drying to drive and aim at the same time, I missed your ping.

It just amazes me that some people think this way.    Once is not enough and should not be.   Unless perhaps you are god, in which case you did not need to ping anyways as you are all knowing right?
